Ordered some seeds last night from Mr. Wagner It allowed me to get the squat oarnge and I hope I get some. Is it possible to trial the true potato seeds say in 2 gal pots and select from there... I do that alot with toms and others ... does blight resistance in tomatoes traced back to the same set of genes? ph1-5? Thanks -d

Yes on growing TPS, (true potato seed) out in 2 gallon pots. Of course it is best to start the seedlings in tiny containers to allow the seedling to grow for the first three weeks from sowing and then one transplanting of a single plant half way up in a similar small container and finally after 6 to 8 weeks into the 2 gallon container. If the original root ball is down about four inches...it will grow much like a tuber planted potato.
If one would sow seed directly in a 2 gal pot....it would stay too wet to start with and later as it grows, the cotyledon area and first few leaves not buried will produce all plant and few if any potatoes...and those aerial to boot.
I need to do a video of this process.
