We just had very heavy rains, and now blight has appeared in my Amsterdam garden. Nearly all the tomatoes are toast, and no seed saving at all was possible this year. I grew one very early variety for eating, as I didn't need any seeds, and I did get some fruits from that.
Even the variety I grew last year which resisted the blight, Tomatito de Jalapa, has some small lesions on the leaves. I think that means the blight has probably mutated since last year.
So far the potatoes are untouched. It's kind of too bad I'll be travelling next week, as I won't be around to keep an eye on how things develop with the potatoes.
