www.delish.com/cm/delish/images/apple-red-flesh-590.jpgI ate many different red fleshed apples in Europe, so naturally...it was a treat. Pretty and red flesh with a whie contrast...I too wonder if it really is a cross between Royal Gala and Braeburn.?? Here are a few similar crosses. ‘

I have one red apple that I grafted from my grandfather's tree. Green skinned, pinkish-red flesh.
I've also gotten scion wood from the USDA for 12 pears accessions, two of which were red fleshed. Sanguinole (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/search.pl?PI+277529) and Rotkottig Frau Ostergotland (http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/acc/search.pl?accid=%20PI+295094)
