Are there any effective alternatives to bleach such as Clorox? I am specifically considering hydrogen peroxide. Any thoughts?

During my talks in Europe last Sept/Oct I brought up this issue. IS THERE A SUBSTITUTE FOR CHLORINE BLEACH AND TRISODIUM PHOSPHATE?
I am not sure there is. I need super clean seed even though I am a proponent of organic growing, cleaning the seed by fermentation is like washing my clothes by fermentation. I asked my chemical engineer daughter to pursue this. I doubt if I am the one to belabor this subject, since there is scant enouigh interest in my breeding work let alone the use of chemicals or safer alternatives.
Since one of the factors of purchasing organic seed is to find a source that is organic first and if not---go with the other. My seed is grown organic, treated chemically for a good reason and then returns to the organic culture. If that is not safe enough for organic growers, I am sorry. I can't do everything.

I see. It is not so much about organic seed for me personally as my aversion for bleach! I'll try some oxo-brite type bleach and also hydrogen peroxide and see how they do. Thanks.
