Tom, I feel like the good kid who has been waiting patiently, quietly, while ready to burst in anticipation. I can't wait any longer...

Johno,
I had a great time in Europe, took hundreds of photos, hours of video, met great people, saw Green Zebra tomatoes everywhere....but I literally crashed and burned soon after returning. Too much attention to detail while on tour and I turned into a hermit with the overload.
I had a bad back most of the time after returning and the wet November kept me from digging many of my potatoes. I fear many of them froze due to temps down to 18F and even lower in some locales. I will attempt to salvage some of my lines once I get a dry warmer break.
Frankly, I will have to use some voice recognition technology to type down what I say out loud just to get organized. I have been overloaded with emails and teaching part time and just not getting around to typing lately.
I am taking the Christmas break from teaching just to catch up on some my communication.
Tom

Thanks, Patrick for admitting you had not registered before. This forum allows visitors and does not require anyone to join just to read the posts. Just a quick review...3 members and 76 guests within the 24 hour period means that even though I think I am speaking to only a bare handful of members and reading their responses...25 times that in guests are reading. What are they getting out of the forum? I sometimes wonder. I gave out hundreds of my cards in Europe that has my forum, blog and email infor and expected many of those folks to sign in. I do get a fair number of emails but I kinda like the public debate aspect of the forum.
Patrick hosted the Oxford events while I was in Europe and it was the finale of visiting 11 countries - France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, Isle of Man, Wales, and England. Being able to speak and listen to questions in English was a somewhat rare treat for me while conducting my workshops, and Patrick along with Steph allowed me to talk about diversity of seeds and the role I can play as a public breeder.
Thanks so much, Patrick, your support was much appreciated!
