Is there a source for these potatoes? If anyone has grown them, what do you think of them? Are they related to Crimson King potatoes? Thanks!

Redder Blood does not exist any more and only TPS was saved. It was a chance seedling out of Blue Blood Russet, also no longer around

Why wasn't it saved? Was it bad? Just curious to know the details to pass on and try to learn about crosses.

I don't know the specific story with Redder Blood, but Tom names everything of interest as a kind of mnemonic. Other breeders might just number transient varieties. So, I'd guess that Redder Blood looked interesting to use as a parent, but not interesting enough to keep the tubers around.
