Hi,
I made a big mistake and kept my potatoes in a warm room. Some of them are drying up, getting all wrinkley. What should I do? Mist them with some water? Get them in the ground now?
I feel so stupid, stupid, stupid for doing this.
Help.
Thanks,
Pugs

Getting seed potatoes in the mail is something I worry about as to temperatures to store them until planting time.
A cool dark place is preferable to start with if they have not broken dormancy. Mine sent out have broke the dormancy level some time ago, therefore, a cool but well lit area is best to store until planting time.
If they have shriveled bad, planting soon would be the best thing to do.
A little moisture lost is not too much of a problem but if the sprouts get long too, it is a problem.
Tom. Best of Luck.

Thanks Tom,
I'll get them planted ASAP. It isn't all of them, just 1 or 2 varieties that Have the problem.
