6 of my clones from the cross of andean sunrise (mother) and Desiré (father) one is not yet damage by late blight. (because not in contact with late blight) 3 of this 6 have a partial late blight resistance.

Did is interesting to try to blooming all the clones above for selfcross or only these who have a tolerance to late blight ? One of the less resistance to late blight give me a selfcross berry !

TPS is maddeningly notorious for germination variations. The newer the seed is the less likely the germination will be good. Even when the TPS is one year or more older..it still germinates like a weed seed, i.e. when it is good and ready to sprout. I have a flat of Muru that is one the third tier of germination from a February sowing. Is colour of the berry and seeds a good indicator as to seed ripened Tom? When I scattered that Maris Piper berry that led to a plant the berry was still green and firm and I didn't expect anything (was chucking it in a waste bit of ground as rubbish). Do the berries turn a purple colour eventually?

No, most do not turn purple...I have Maris Piper potato berries and they are all green. They will turn somewhat yellowish at full maturity but you have to store them inside so that the seed matures more naturally. Amey Russet berries picked yesterday are fairly purple and have white dots. I am maturing them out now. Way too often folks want to extract the seed (TPS) too soon and it appears almost whitish early...you want a bit of yellowish color on the seed coat.
I am breeding for purple berries since it seems to be a marker for high sun tolerance, etc.
more later...

I was sowing tps from a cross in 2014(♀ andean sunrise (possible Tetraploid form) X ♂ desiré) . From this seedling I keeped 2 plants who gave me few seeds in 2016. Last year, I sowing their, and this year I have planted all the small tuber from 2018 The Great diversity of plants, size, leafs shape, leafs colors, plants shape, but too tubers color, shape, flesh color, tast and textur is amazing. Next year I try to caracterise each one, but theire are near 49 plants.
