When is Green Zebra ripe?

I have two green zebra plants running this year. They have the pronounced stripes of the style, and some are light/dark green wheras one or two are turning yellower. None are as soft as my larger heirloom styles. (ex: black krim)

Is it a firmer tomato even when ripe?

(I am located in Seattle area, so my tomatoes only cam ripe in the last couple weeks.)

Yes, Seattle is not the best place to grow tomatoes unless you have a greenhouse, a very sunny southern exposure near a building, or have secrets that I don't know about. I live in Everett, just a half hours drive north of Seattle. In fact, today I am going to Lake City, which is in the Seattle metro area to pick some Green Zebra type tomatoes that I have been waiting for. A put in quite late some F-2 plants of Blue P-20 x Woolly Green Zebra in a raised bed there are have been waiting for the tomatoes to set and ripen. They are under some Douglas Firs, therefore the shade delays the ripening. They grew nice but it was never sunny enough nor warm enough to set many fruits in that location. That probably sounds funny to anyone in hot summer areas.

My neighbor downstairs of my condo has a tomato plant on the east side of his garage and it is full of un-ripe tomatoes and maybe a few will ripen in October? For a plant breeder working with tomatoes here in the PNW is silly...the flowers hardly produce enough pollen to cross with.

I note johnny's lists GZ as productive over a long season. I was sure elsewhere it is listed as determinate. My OSU Blue / GZ F2s seemed determinate.

Which is it?

And can determinates produce multiple crops in perpetually warm climates? (There are some tomatoes that live for several years).

Yes, many of the F-2 (Green Zebra x P-20 Blues) will express a determinate growth.

GZ is indeterminate, but can act somewhat determinate for some, variable growing conditions will make it appear more deter.
