Potato varieties.
Even though most people think of me as a tomato breeder, my most satisfying work is potatoes. Flavor, color, nutrition, year around availability, ease of crossing or not, few people do it, more tangible than tomatoes, etc. and the clonal thing is far superior to tomatoes, which cannot be reproduced as clones so easily.
The fact that you can reproduce a hybrid in potatoes so easy and that it becomes a act of preservation of a piece of art.

I never thought of it that way. With cloning it would make it so much easier to multiply.
