Hi All. I have this beautiful tomato but I can’t figure out what it could be. I took a few seeds from a dark colored heirloom my wife got at Whole Foods. It took really well but doesn’t look anything like the original fruit. The original was dark but not nearly as pretty. It’s planted next to other non-heirloom plants.
The fruit is about 3-4 inches,with about 6-8 fruits per plant.
Here are some photos of the plant and fruit.
The fruit started green then turned purple (with purple spots on leafs around the fruit) then a darker purple and finally a reddish color.
I can’t figure it out. Help please. It’s one of the sweetest tomatoes I’ve ever eaten. Thank you!
