Hi Tom, Hi all I read all your post since many time now and it's my first year with TPS sowing after many years to think about it, my TPS come from seed of unknow varieties found on a field. And the result is funny, 8 plants with many different kind of behavior, and color, shape of leefs, number of tubers. See picture below. This year Kokopelli France send to me an old French potato variety, "Rouge d'Auvergne " and I have pick up only one berry of this potato, with few seeds. I think to sow few seeds in a green house now to have small tuber for december ! And sow these micro tuber at spring. But I don't know if there is a dormancy on potato seeds ? Can you help me, thanks a lot. Sorry for my poor english

Hello khumlee.
I remember Tom said you can't sow TPS just after you dried them, as you can do with tomatoes, so you may fail to grow your micro-tubers this fall. Somehow, I sowed my first self-grown TPS from 2011 ( variety is Charlotte ), this spring, and the germination rate was nearly 100%.
Also, the first season for TPS is difficult : plants don't survive transplanting, don't have time to grow enough before killed by something or reach senescence etc... field conditions is hard for such fragile little things, so, unless they're late, you'll harvest few, but if you grow these tubers again the next year, you can have great surprises. To my opinion, they'll suffer from a lack of light but I wish you good luck nevertheless.
Salut khumlee.
