Here is a picture of Blue Bayou, one of Tom's 2012 varieties I have going in my blue tomato grow out. I have 8 Blue Bayou plants growing and they're looking fairly consistent so far. I have various degrees of color in the blue varieties, but this variety so far is the fastest to color up and the darkest, practically black; almost every fruit looks like this. I may try crossing this one with a couple of yellow or white varieties this year to see if I can get something striking. www.onthemarksolutions.net/images/Peppers/Blue Bayou.jpg[/img]

Moved the picture to a different web server, let me know if it shows up for you now?

Blue Bayou originated from a backcross. An early generation of Dancing with Smurfs to a version of Indigo Rose. I took it out a few generations to get some stable blue lines. Let me know if you can see my Imgur photo...

I can see your picture Tom, so I'll assume mine is visible now. Thanks for the background information on how it came to be. Were the ones you sent out F4 o F5? I got my package with an early order as a freebie before you listed them.
I've got quite a few of your blues varieties starting to color up that I'll be continuing to post pictures of.

Just starting to get a few ripe ones now, none that are all over blue black but here is one of the ones from the bottom trusses. You can see the red blush on the bottom where the light wasn't hitting it. Here it is sliced. I have two plants that are showing slightly larger fruits than the others that I am anxious to try.

Thanks for the pix of BLUE BAYOU! I would imagine that the larger fruited types to be later in maturity. Hope you save some seed from them....as I can only hope to get seed from my plantings...long story...

The first two of the larger Blue Bayou fruits were picked today. These are in grow bags because I ran out of room at home and didn't want the blues planted where I couldn't keep an eye on things, so now I'm going to transplant one of them into the area vacated by the beets and lettuce to see if the fruits are any larger in a ground planting vs container. www.onthemarksolutions.net/images/Peppers/Large Blue Bayou.JPG[/img]
