I was able to plant the first of two garden beds today. I am having to rent plots remotely, as I am not able to garden in my own yard. Here are some of the varieties, which came through Tom Wagner, that I have started from seeds under lights , hardened off in the last weeks and now have planted in the bed. Tomatoes: Fidalgo Island. Green Elf. Green Brandy. Fort Vancouver Yellow Pear. Pennsylvania Catchfly. Elwood Blues (which was a variety segregated from Tom's attempt to create a variety called "Seattle's Blue Wooly Mammoth.) Elwood TomCat, the same as above but with stripes.
Potatoes: I have my TPS plants that I have mentioned in numerous posts here in this bed. I also have one potato variety that Tom sent me, after the first year I stored the results in my basement. Due to the loss of a loved one I did not garden the next year, in the Spring two years later I went down to the basement and found that the un-planted tubers put off stolons and had some pea sized potatoes on them. I was able to take a few of these and plant them in pots and grew a handful of small tubers that I have now planted in this garden. The variety Tom named after rivers in Michigan and this variety was named "Brevoort River". It is a beautiful violet purple with yellow flesh. I hope to grow it for the next few years from this years crop.

Al, I hope you continue to save the "Brevoort River" as I dropped the clone but still have the TPS.
