Tom, this came to me from Wendy Montanez last year as a single tuber. Wendy grew this from Skagit Beets TPS. It is a mostly white fingerling, and sometimes is knobby, sometimes not. I think it's a keeper, as the taste is quite good, it's pretty interesting looking, and yield was above average compared to other potatoes I grew this year. As far as naming this guy, is that something you would like to do, or can Wendy or I name it?

I would like to suggest "Beetroot Blanca", to honor your choice of name and Wendy's heritage.

Sounds good to me. 99% or more of named clones bite the dust anyway however a name gives it a pinpoint in history. If anyone would ask about TPS that I sell, 99 % of them are gone already. Beetroot Blanca has little or resemblance of the mother parent and we know not of a possible father. Such is the nature of potato breeding as ephemeral names are often varieties existing for just a season or two.
