Thanks, Phil. I think you are just east of Melbourne, correct. The dwarf hybrid you are talking about is a cross of a dwarf gold rin x Pixie Olympic Gold Dwarf. Outstanding yield and type. Acts as an indeterminate dwarf and has super firm gold (orange) tomatoes that will keep for five weeks.

I had one plant produce this little pink cherry! Perhaps a stray from somewhere, but tasty all the same. Attachments:

Oh, cool! The funky shape and the pastel colors coming through makes it a keeper for me too. Yes, flavor could be a downfall of that clone, but perhaps a bit of tweeking will bring out some flavor/sweetness. The pink cherry would not be possible based on the pedigree, and I am inclined to see it as a stray also.
Winter growouts and increase might fine tune the selection you have JayB.

They are pretty funky aren't they! I thought the flavour was good, just not sweet, whether it will taste as good next time around?
I'm not set up for winter grow-outs,wish I was, but there is always next year. I can send you seed, I keep promising to send seeds, but seems I'm negligent. It's now on my to do list!

The winter increase plots will be important to me in order to get stable and numerous seeds to submit for release.

Any reports on taste Phil? I heard it was good, not brilliant. That will do me. I am being sent seeds for a perfect pear shaped green when ripe version. No fluting or ruffles, just like a giant yellow pear. Do you wan't to swap seeds?
